The Center for Empowerment Ethiopia (CEE) successfully conducted a comprehensive capacity-building training program for over 80 women farmers, extension staffs and supportive administrative staffs aimed at enhancing their coffee production capabilities. This initiative focused on several key areas, including nursery preparation, improved management techniques, and the strengthening of value chains.
The training held in December 13-14, 2024, in collaboration with esteemed partners such as Women Win, Wolaita Soddo University, and the local government of Soddo Zuriya Woreda, all situated in the Wolaita Zone of the Southern Ethiopia Region.
Through this collaborative effort, CEE is committed to empowering women farmers by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge that will not only improve their agricultural practices but also enhance their economic independence and overall community resilience. The program underscores the importance of supporting women’s roles in agriculture, particularly in the coffee sector, which is vital to the region’s economy. https://web.facebook.com/100063820159424/posts/pfbid02E1TnYw71odFxVkVb7Z67XkfEr3NraqSf4WKfY6iiSeauoG97ysooubgbG3bsh5Hjl/?app=fbl&_rdc=1&_rdr
