The Center for Empowerment Ethiopia (CEE) conducted public road show campaigns to raise citizens’ awareness and participation in the 7th Ethiopian General Election scheduled for Ginbot 2018 E.C. The campaign aimed to educate communities on the importance of peaceful, fair, and democratic elections, voter participation, and respect for electoral rules and human rights.
The road shows covered four woredas, with in May 21-25, 2026 awareness activities conducted in four woredas. CEE used mobile loudspeakers, printed visibility and awareness materials, banners, and posters to reach large numbers of community members. In addition, attention-catching cultural shows, drama performances, and street theaters were presented in public gathering areas to deliver key election messages in an engaging and understandable manner.
The campaign successfully attracted community attention and encouraged citizens, including women, youth, and marginalized groups, to actively participate in the electoral process peacefully and responsibly.
